Kadant Carmanah maintains warehouses in Canada and the U.S. to serve our customers. Stock is maintained for most of the wear components as well as major assemblies for the Disc and Ring stranders, chippers, debarkers and screen products.

Strander & Debarker Parts

Kadant Carmanah maintains considerable inventory of wear parts and replacement assemblies for Ring and Disc stranders and the Fuji King debarker at warehouses located in Canada and the Southeast U.S. Many of the long leadtime critical components, such as bearings, are also kept in stock to complement our customer's critical spares stock.

Strander Ring Removal & Refurbishing

Kadant Carmanah offers a refurbishment service for strander ring assemblies. Dependent on condition, the potential exists to refurbish a ring that has been in operation for a number of years, and return it to the original OEM dimensional targets.

Our service department works closely with the customer to remove the ring from the machine and have it shipped to our Vancouver facility for a complete inspection and the necessary refurbishing/repairs.

Inspection Program

Our comprehensive inspection program promotes machine safety and minimizes potential down time. On-site machine inspections are followed up with detailed written reports, providing mill management with a full overview of machine conditions.

Chipper / Debarker /Screen Parts

Kadant Carmanah maintains a considerable inventory of parts for our chipper, debarker, and screen product lines. We also maintain records that include engineering and manufacturing detail for our equipment - in most cases this detail is available for equipment sold in decades past.

Refurbishing Services

As equipment wears, it will eventually require replacement, but in many cases additional service life can be attained through rebuilding or refurbishment. Kadant Carmanah offers this service for much of our equipment.

Kadant Carmanah is able to provide this service for much of our capital equipment in the engineered wood and sawmill sectors. Depending on the type of equipment and nature of the required work, the repairs or rebuild/refurbish can be performed either at our manufacturing facility or in some cases on-site.

The benefits of performing this work in the field can be considerable, particularly with respect to reduced downtime, labor, and shipping costs.
